Discharged fabrics have unique coloring, and many are patterned from the use of shibori (tie-dye) techniques. Cotton fabrics are discharged with bleach or thiourea dioxide, but silk never sees bleach! They are among the most labor-intensive fabrics we produce, but are worth the premium price.
